Insulation Can Save You 💰!

MOST ATTICS IN OKLAHOMA ARE UNDERINSULATED. It’s just a fact. 

Most have insulation, but not an adequate amount considering the extreme climate we have. 

The goal of insulation is to resist the difference in temperature so that you’re able to maintain a comfortable home at a reasonable price. In the summer, that means keeping the cold in whereas the winter, that means keeping the heat in.

When your home is underinsulated, it means you’re lining the pockets of the utility companies because you’ve got more energy escaping than is necessary. 

In this attic, they had approximately R19 of insulation throughout their attic, but there were spots that had less than R13 which is significant. Especially because those spots that are lower will act as a vacuum in a sense as your conditioned air is trying to find the path of least resistance to get out. 

When we finished, this attic had a minimum of R38 throughout the entire attic which will be far more efficient. 

The result? A more comfortable home, a more efficient home, and more money in your wallet at the end of the month.
